NT Government & Community Benefit Fund have generously provided funding in order for us to construct a new self contained bunkhouse. This will assist in widening our accommodation options and availability, as well as allowing smaller groups (such as Larapinta Trail Walkers, Corporate, Recreational & Family Groups) to use the facility in conjunction with other exclusive bookings.
The 18 bed bunkhouse has a semi enclosed camp kitchen and community room in addition to internal bathroom facilities. It is located away from the main camp buildings and has stunning 360-degree views. While fitting in with the other camp buildings, it has also been designed to be sympathetic to the environment.
Construction commenced in November 2023 and it is due to be completed to be available for the 2024 winter season. In addition to funding, the construction has been generously assisted by various local businesses including: MB Building, Auskron, Barker Hume Homes, Ogden Power & Alice Springs Electrical.
