FACILITIES
Situated in shadow of the magnificent Chewings Ranges Hamilton Downs Youth Camp offers youth groups and other visitors a wide range of facilities. For individuals seeking a resting place after an exhilarating walk along the Larapinta trail, for holiday makers or youth groups, the camp offers a warm, comfortable and idyllic sanctuary away from the hustle and bustle of city and town life.
This is a bush camp that many in the bush just dream of, yet retaining the atmosphere and ambiance of the real outback of Australia with the reminders of the pioneers who opened up this country. The historic houses and buildings are maintained as they were in the 1900's.
There are caretakers on site and access to a telephone if required. Limited WIFI is available if required.
ACCOMMODATION
Sleep in our historic buildings, maintained as they were in the 1900s or sleep out under the stars.
BUNKHOUSE
Sleeps 32 total people (4 separate rooms containing 4 bunk beds.

There is a large connecting central room that can be set used in multiple ways – meetings, presentations/speeches, tutoring or a relaxation space.

HISTORIC BUNKHOUSE
Sleeps 28 people (verandah has 9 bunk beds and the inner has 5 bunk beds).

HISTORIC SMOKEHOUSE
Sleeps 6 people in single beds.

**All beds are steel-framed with mattresses provided. You will need to bring your own sleeping bag or sheets and blankets, and pillow/s.

CAMPING AREA
For up to 100 people. Bring your own swag or tent.
KITCHEN
We offer excellent kitchen facilities for a remote bush camp.
You can bring your own food to cook or we can provide recommendations for local catering services.
